We offer training in:

Crafts, needlework, Culture & Heritage
Arts, Culture & Heritage has a profound power to help build our new nation with its strong Eastern Cape Heritage component. 

The Course will have a strong focus on Marketing, Business Skills, Costing and Product Development.

A 6 month entrepreneurial course for 9 students in conjunction with the P.E. College a registered FET College offered includes the cost of tuition fees, textbooks & training materials.
           
A 3 month basic needlework course can be followed by a 6 month Arts, Culture & Heritage course. Arts, Culture & Heritage has a profound power to help build our new nation with its strong Eastern Cape Heritage component.

Student Criteria: Age Group 18 - 25 Years of age with a Grade 10 Certificate

Student Requirements: Copy of C.V & I.D & Grade 10 Certificate to be submitted

Needlework/Arts: Entrepreneurial (Embroidery, Beading, Basic Sewing)





Hairdressing training
Hairdressing teaches students creativity and it teaches them socio-interaction with clients and it challenges them to stay ahead with the current trends.

The cost for a skills NQF level 2 qualification for 12 learners over a 12 month period will include the cost of text books, a relevant start-up kit, theory and practical training in the hairdressing salons as well as transport fee’s.

The duration of this Level 2 Seta accredited skills course is 6 months which includes theory together with practical training and an additional 3 month practical training in the hairdressing salons.

Student Criteria: Age Group 18 - 25 Years of age with a Matric Qualification

Student Requirements: Copy of C.V & I.D & Matric Certificate to be submitted

Employment Opportunities: Hair Salons, Own Business etc.





Woodwork & Upholstery training
The purpose of this qualification is to provide learners from Dilanedi Schools, to meet the requirements for working in the furniture manufacturing industry. 

A  Seta Accredited NQF Level 2,3 & 4 Course for 8 learners in Furniture Making and Upholstery with a strong focus on Maths and Engineering, is offered which includes textbooks, training materials as well as transport costs.

Student Criteria: Age Group 18 - 25 Years of age with a Matric Qualification

Student Requirements: Copy of C.V & I.D & Matric Certificate to be submitted

A 10-month NQF Level 2 Woodwork and Upholstery Course will be offered by a Qualified woodwork facilitator.

Employment Opportunities: Carpentry, Cabinet making, Upholstery, Shop fitting & Building Contractors.

Hospitality (chef / accommodation) Services
This qualification has been developed for the Accommodation Industry. Training in this field will allow entry into the exciting customer and services industry – an industry with an ongoing supply of jobs & opportunities. The learning contents will comprise of core subjects of food preparation, communication and human relation, client service and a generic component e.g. hygiene, safety and costing.            

This accredited qualification in Hospitality is offered over a period of 12 months period for 12 students.  

Student Criteria: Age Group 18 - 25 Years of age with a Matric Qualification

Student Requirements: Copy of C.V & I.D & Matric Certificate to be submitted

Employment Opportunities: Game Reserves, Hotels, Guest houses, Coffee Shops & Restaurants.





Early Childhood Development
Provides 15 students between the ages of 18 - 25 with a Level 4 & 5 Qualification in Early Childhood Development which is accredited by the EDTP SETA. The Course will cover Development of Babies & Toddlers 0 - 4 years including Grade R learners in Early Childhood Development.

A proper education and cognitive stimulation in Early Childhood have been proved too strongly influence a child’s life prospects and outcomes.

The cost of the course for 15 students NQF Level 4 & 5 over a 12 months is offered and it includes tuition fees, learning material, certification, practical material as well as assessment and moderation fees.

A Level 1 Qualification in Early Childhood Development which is accredited by the EDTP SETA is offered over a period of 6months.

HIV Aids & Pallative Care
This course will provide young people in the community the opportunity to gain basic nursing education. Home Based Care has become essential in the Aids pandemic as it makes nursing accessible to patients and their families.

A 6-month program which will be supported by a practical training programme will be presented by Preserve Life and St. Francis Hospice.

The cost of the course for 12 students will be offered it includes tuition fees, learning material, certification, practical material as well as assessment and moderation fees.
